Littleton 11.4 – 14.4

Littleton is as cute as it sounds! ❤️

Riesen Post-Gebäude…
… dafür mini Post-Auto. Irgendwo muss man sparen 😜
Ja, der See ist noch halb zugefroren…
Wanderung auf den Mount Willard

Ach ja, es ist ja noch fast Winter hier, ganz vergessen 🌨️

Hiking a snowy trail the Austrian way (= geht scho irgendwie):

1) Hike a mountain (e.g. Mount Willard) with trailrunning shoes on…

2) Afterwards, read online that everyone else uses spikes on shoes..😂 but we made it anyway!

And the view at the top was… more than rewarding!
Hotel Mount Washington

Afterwards we stopped at the Mount Washington Hotel for some beer and an amazing view on Mount Washington. The hotel, which was constructed between 1900 – 1902, hosted the Bretton Woods monetary conference in 1944 which lead to the establishment of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. (Just so you know 😁)

Blue Moon (on special recommendation by a friend) served with orange and non-alk for the driver (that would be me in this case 😔😉)
In the background, covered in snow: Mount Washington

Talking about historic sights, our hotel is the oldest in the area dating back to 1843. It also hosted Richard Nixon and it seems he also gave a speech there!

I’m so glad we had electricity and running water 💧😅

And another really cool thing: we headed out for my first ever trail run! 🥳 Going up was a nightmare as it didn’t go up and down as expected but just gradually but continuously climbing up all the time. Rather steep. Very steep indeed. But going down we chose a different route and we had the best time. 😁
