Valley of Fire 🔥 18.-20.5

The Valley of Fire was … hot. 🔥 Surprisingly. 🤣

The highest temperature we had in the camper after returning from a hike (camper had been in the sun) was 109°F, i think about 42,8 °C)… 🔥🥵🔥

This was the second time we had not booked a site in advance and it turned out we were lucky again, there were plenty of spots left when we arrived.

We had just decided on a site and I had filled our water bottle at a little tap on-site when a male bighorn sheep appeared out of nowhere. (We only learned later that they are actually quite a rare thing to see)

He seemed to be keen on the water so we retreated and kept our distance so he could drink (and we could take photos 😁 win-win!)

The next day we were off for some walks (I wouldn’t call it hikes but is definitely felt like hiking as you could only go very slowly in the desert heat)

Petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years!
