Actually we only chose to stay at the Red Rock Canyon because of its immediate proximity to Las Vegas, where we had spent the afternoon. But it turned out to be a gem in terms of landscapes and hikes as well. 🤩
After spending the evening and night at the campground we drove the ‘Scenic Drive’ (a specific, 13 miles one way road you need a reservation for) and stopped every now and then for hikes and photos. Well worth it!!
First stop: incredible rock formations!
Next: awesome hike with incredible views and ever-changing scenery !
Also the colour of the rock changed constantly from a bright yellow to a radiant orange and stunning red!

To our surprise, we could enjoy a great view of Las Vegas from the end of the trail. (to the left, in the distance!)
Still in the same area the rocks changed yet again…

Last but not least: a discovery trail, with plants and insects in great abundance.
