King’s Canyon 1.6

After leaving Sequoia National Park, we spent the next day driving through King’s Canyon, only stopping for pictures and hikes.

Zumwalt Meadow was our first hike in the Cedar Grove area…

Indian Paintbrush (now called Red Paintbrush)
North Dome

… and as it was quite a short one we continued on for another couple of kilometres in order to see Roaring River Falls!

Zumwalt Meadow

Everything is huge in the US, and so are the pine cones 😉

Roaring River Falls

Perfect spot for our packed lunch! 🥪🍎🍫

Next, we hiked a the Don Cecil Trail but only as fas as Sheep Creek Cascade for we were running out of time (as was often the case).

On our way back we stumbled upon this little non-venomous friend: 🐍
