On our way to Littleton we decided to stop at a reservation near Boston for a little hike as the weather was finally getting a bit friendlier and the forecast for our time in Littleton promised a lot of rain so we wanted to make the most of our ‘travel day’.

We chose the Sky Trail (~13 km) as it would lead us to some viewpoints at which you can even see the Boston skyline on a clear day.

After walking for only about 5 minutes we saw the first one of these little friends. After the first encounter we gradually became used to them and luckily they always steered clear. Naturally it was always me leading the path whenever one showed up … 🤔

War eine sehr nette, abwechslungsreiche Tour. ☀️🤩

Wenn New York Wien ist, ist Boston definitiv Graz! Viele Studenten (wieso das nur?! Gibt’s da etwa eine berühmte Uni?!), eine große Auswahl an Veggie-Lokalen und eine süßen kleine U-Bahn, die das komplette Gegenteil der stressigen Metro in New York darstellt… Boston ❤️

For me personally, the best thing was that we found out about an app that offers pre-recorded walking tours. You simply download the tour and switch on your GPS and start the tour at a designated place. The app then starts and your “tour guide” tells you where to go and provides interesting facts about historic or popular sights and places when you pass them. Worked quite well and cost only 8 $. 🙂

We chose the freedom trail tour which was split in three parts (gave us time to eat between tours) and lead us through the city. It was really great as we saw places we would not have seen if we hadn’t done the tour and were served lots of history and secrets about the city and some of its famous townsmen (and townswomen).
